Supporters buy EXP — an in-app digital good, priced at the equivalent of 1 USD cent per EXP — and spend it to back the journeys they believe in. EXP is consumed on the platform; it has no off-platform value. Once spent, it's locked in escrow until the journey completes — creators can't walk off mid-journey, and supporters can't pull their backing halfway through.
Finish, and earn 80%.
Complete your journey and you earn 80% of the EXP that backed it. LVLUP keeps 20% as a platform fee. Once your earnings reach the $25 minimum, LVLUP pays you out on the 15th of every month, processed by our licensed payment partner to your registered payout method. The payout is a payment from LVLUP to you in exchange for the content you delivered — not a transfer from any individual supporter.

What is LVLUP?
LVLUP is a creator-economy platform where creators commit to day-by-day video journeys (7 to 90 days) and supporters back them with EXP, an in-app digital good. EXP is held in escrow during the journey and released to the creator only if they complete it. Same legal model as Twitch Bits, TikTok Coins, and YouTube Super Chat.
What is EXP?
EXP is a digital good — an in-app virtual item issued by LVLUP. 1 EXP equals 1 USD cent of support spending power, but only inside the LVLUP application. EXP has no monetary value off-platform, is not legal tender, is non-transferable, accrues no interest, and cannot be exchanged for cash by the purchasing user. It's consumed exclusively to support creators on the platform.
How does LVLUP pay creators?
When a creator's accumulated EXP reaches the minimum payout threshold ($25), LVLUP — not the supporting users — pays cash to the creator's verified payee account in exchange for that creator's accumulated EXP entitlement against the platform. Payouts run monthly on the 15th, processed by our licensed payment partner to the creator's registered payout method. The payment is structurally B2B compensation from LVLUP to the creator for content delivered.
Is LVLUP free?
Yes. The app is free on iOS and Android. Starting a journey is free. Supporters who want to back creators can buy EXP packs starting at a few US dollars.
Can I get a refund on EXP?
EXP purchases are final and non-refundable, except for verified billing problems (unauthorized charges, accidental duplicates), Apple App Store / Google Play store-level refunds, or where consumer-protection law requires otherwise. Spent EXP — EXP transferred to a creator — is non-refundable in all circumstances. Same model as Twitch Bits and TikTok Coins.
How is LVLUP different from Instagram Reels or TikTok?
On Instagram and TikTok, posts are stand-alone. On LVLUP, every video is part of a sequence — a journey of 7 to 90 days where the creator commits to posting daily progress on a specific goal. Supporters back the journey, not individual videos. Missed days are permanent. Completing the journey unlocks the creator's payout.
